Understanding Mental Telepathy

By Rachel Jordan

Most people do not really understand the term 'mental telepathy'. The definition of mental telepathy implies that two people are able to share their thoughts with each other without the intervention of the five senses. Nevertheless mental telepathy can involve a range of varied communication ranging from trying to watch somebody to trying to read someone's mind. The science of telepathy has many facets to it which can range from utterly simple to highly evolved. The aim of this article is to delve into the various forms of mental telepathy

NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION

Whenever two people communicate without speaking, using body language or facial expressions instead, it is considered non-verbal communication or kinesics. Some people are able to communicate simple messages while others are able to communicate entire conversations using kinesics. You may have experienced this when giving looks to a cohort in a secret plan of action. Achieved easiest and most accurately between people who know each other well, kinesics involves knowing what the other person is thinking by non-verbal gestures or kinesics.

Most people do not regard this form of communication as mental telepathy since here communication is through senses and not just with sounds. Theoretically, this argument holds good. However, we cannot disregard the role of mental telepathy here. The very observation that this kind of non verbal communication is most effective in people who are intimate with each other or know each other well tells us that the minds of these people are more in synch with each other. However, skeptics may argue that this communication is merely effective because people who know each other well understand each other's body language well or have previously developed a mode of non verbal communication.

EMPATHY:

Through empathy it is possible to directly experience the emotions of others or connect on an emotional level. Putting yourself in another's shoes' and understanding how they feel is not something everybody is able to do. Training and practice can increase empathy. Imitating the emotions of others, even to the point of spontaneously laughing or crying is something actors and sociopaths can do everyday.

'Sympathetic pain'"feeling another person's pain as if it were your own is something expectant fathers mention, some claiming they can feel the mother's labor pains at the same time she is experiencing them. If someone close to you is experiencing an overwhelming emotion, you may feel an echo of the same emotion inside you, and mothers often describe this uneasy feeling when their child has been injured. The phenomena of long distance empathy, where a person suddenly feels that someone close to them is in danger, even though they are not near the person at the time is common in other relationships, as well.

Psychologists write off such empathetic phenomena as a simple trick of an overactive imagination. At the very least, they do have a point that other senses are being used. Would we be able to feel the sympathetic pain of a broken arm, for example, if we could not actually see the injury? This does not explain, however, the phenomena of long-distance empathy.

CONCRETE CONCEPTS:

This is the thought transference of concrete symbols and objects between two minds. Mental telepathy at this level must by necessity move beyond the regular five senses, and often requires a designated sender and receiver, intense concentration, training, and practice.

The simpler the concept, the easier it is to communicate through thought alone. For example, a color or shape may be easier to convey than an animal.

Experiments in telepathy are often conducted on this level. The Zener cards used in tests of mental telepathy are simple, concrete black-and-white symbols (a circle, square, star, plus sign, and three wavy lines). On one hand, skeptics and critics of the Zener cards have pointed out that with only five cards to choose from, even a random guess has a 20% chance of being right. On the other hand, one could argue that a shared, known, limited set of concrete symbols increases the ability of the sender and receiver to coordinate their thoughts. Furthermore, although anyone can get a 20% success rate with enough guesses, a success rate of 50% or higher (which have happened) can not be explained away by simple statistics.

ABSTRACT CONCEPTS

Mental telepathy at this level involves abstract concepts like ideas or actions, which are more complex to communicate than colors and shapes. Telepaths rarely achieve this level, and lower success rates are indicated in experiments.

Interestingly there are certain animals which can communicate effectively and we have still not discovered their modus operandi. Telepathy may be one of the methods. In this kind of communication between animals very basic abstract concepts will be involved. Since animals do not have prefrontal lobes which enhance complex communication, this communication will be restricted to basic impulses like thirst hunger and even danger.

Some people feel that initially in the olden days man had the power of telepathy, which declined as language and man, evolved. Assuming this is true, and then right research can show us the right way to rediscover this lost skill.

If enough people can develop these powers, theoretically all humans in the future could use mental telepathy to communicate, according to some scientific beliefs.

SEO Myths- 12 Common SEO Falsehoods

By David Baxter

There are hundreds of different SEO myths floating around out there. The problem is that for webmasters and small business owners looking to do things the right way, it can be hard to find factual information that can really pay dividends. When you want to be successful with SEO, you first have to become aware of these SEO myths so you can rid yourselves of them. Here are the 12 most common SEO myths that are still getting passed around.

#1- All Links are Equal- Even though this was once a successful SEO strategy, you will find that are links are NOT equal today. There are several ways to build backlinks to your sites, but only a few of them today are helpful. This is due to the search engines becoming more aware of what is relevant and what is not. So when you find someone with 50 backlinks to their site and a higher ranking then you with 1000 links, this is why.

2. Keyword Density is Important: Another one of the most common SEO myths is the myth of keyword density. There is no set keyword density that is guaranteed to provide you with success in the search engines. It's about incorporating your targeted keywords and phrases in the right places, in the right ways while not overdoing it and making your content or website seem like spam.

#3- Meta Keywords Still Work- You have probably heard all the debates that go back and forth about meta keywords. Recently though it was discovered that this statement is simply one of the SEO myths. Google and Yahoo have announced publicly that they no longer use meta keywords for ranking purposes. So don't bother working on them. However, meta descriptions and tiles are still valuable.

4. Web Directories are Highly Valuable: It's been a very long time since web directories have been highly valuable. The proliferation of the insta-web directory and webmasters submitting their sites to them en masse has devalued the importance of these once powerful marketing strategies. Getting displayed in highly credible web directories can still be advantageous, but in general web directories have lost their mystique.

5. Blackhat SEO Won't Get you Caught: Many people think that anything they do won't be discovered, and that even if someone does find out they won't get punished. The truth is that no matter large or small your operation is, you can get caught using illicit marketing or promotion tactics and you can get delisted from the major search engines as a result.

6. SEO Success Happens Overnight: Another one of the most common SEO myths that people believe in is that SEO success happens instantaneously. It just doesn't happen overnight. SEO is a process that works over a period of time, and the results gradually improve. It requires long term dedication and not a quick fix strategy.

7. Google is All That Matters: Obviously Google is the largest and most powerful search engine that's out there today. However, one of the most prevalent SEO myths is that it's all the matters for the success of your website. This can't be farther from the truth. With Yahoo!, Bing, other search engines, a slew of important social networking sites such as Facebook, YouTube and MySpace and various other tactics such as article marketing there are a variety of ways to drive traffic to your sites besides Google.

#8- PageRank is Everything- Page ranking was extremely important when there was only one way to decipher the ranks. However, when the algorithms began to change in hopes of providing more relevant information, thinking they were everything turned into one of the SEO myths. It definitely still helps, but with the constant algorithm fluctuation it's not as big.

#9- Common Sense is More Important than Research- Just because you believe something works one way doesn't mean everyone else is in agreement. There really isn't one true path to success online. There are many variables that come into play and this especially holds true for keyword selection. If you assume you know what people are searching for, chances are you will lose out in the end. Utilizing the proper research will help to keep you from falling into this trap.

#10- More Traffic is Always Better- If anyone throws these SEO myths at you, run the other way. The truth is you can have millions of visitors everyday, but without targeted traffic your sales will only be minimal. The idea is to have conversion rates that are off the charts, which means you need internet buyers not surfers. We recommend looking for targeted traffic first, then move on to expanding your base.

#11- Purchasing Links and Link Farms Always Work- This was really helpful years ago, but Google caught on to how people used blogs and websites as link farms. Nowadays they can actually hurt your website rankings rather than help them. Most importantly taking this route is often considered as "blackhat" which is definitely not good.

#12- Once you Achieve a Ranking, You're Done- Probably the biggest SEO myths out there revolve around the "one shot deal." Many marketers believe they can simply write up 10 articles, submit them to directories, provide a few backlinks, and the money will start rolling in everyday. The truth is you have to constantly maintain your SEO strategies in order to be successful. If the competition is still working, why should you stop?

These SEO myths are why so many people fail in the marketing world. It's a combination of stubbornness and just finding the wrong information when searching how to successfully market your website. If you can stay up to date with the latest trends, you will end up staying away from those schemes and pitfalls that cause others to fail.

Understand Cultures And You Have Global Freedom

By Bob Proctor

Culture-it is a powerful tool if you want to change your life. Culture is defined by the established beliefs and ideals set by a particular group of people. The most influential of these are those cultures that have been put in families, companies and in the nation.

Every era have been home to certain destructive parts of a national culture that blocked the way of many who desire to become rich in their monetary and personal lives. Imagine this, only several years earlier, unfair discrimination against groups of people have been allowed to fester in cultures all over the world. The world would be a darker place without moral and outstanding luminaries like Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Amelia Earhart.

Indeed, it would probably easier to step back and live unperturbed lives; free from the dangers that come with challenging pre-existing paradigms. However, because of the examples these brave people made, we know that it is possible to make a difference; more than that, to use your culture as a stepping stone to global freedom.

Reflect on this for a moment: what specific paradigm is influencing an aspect of the culture you want to change? For many it is the idea that it is difficult to become rich and make money in the present economic climate we are experiencing. Don't consider the externals before the internal. Tap the limitless potential within you and consider stepping into and being a success in the global market.

Write down the goals you want and all the ideas you associate with it. If it is to build wealth in an international level, it might be international jobs, to earn money online and make money on the internet. Is there a sense of resistance inside you? Are you comfortable with the idea that you can make money using innovative, and possibly riskier methods? You are uncovering your paradigms and correcting them to be in alignment to your goals.

You can choose to be a victim of the culture you are in or use it to propel you to a more prosperous life. If you earn money online you will be working from home. If you are working from home, you will have more time with your family and enjoy a better quality of life. There are many income opportunities when you make money on the internet, but you won't optimize this if you don't have a correct mindset in this area.

Study all your options and choose the best one that will allow you to build wealth and give you a quality of life you have always wanted to have. It may not be international jobs or the other income opportunities we talked about here; but it does have to be something you can be passionate about and follow through regardless of the cultures that may oppose your dreams.

Your culture may seem big, but your attitude will make space for you in the world regardless of what comes against you. Remember, you not only can change your life-- you can change the world.
